I believe some people are sent into your life specifically to destroy a version of you that needed to die.
They're not a lesson. They're not a mistake. They were never meant to stay.
They came to burn something down.

Not your worth.
Not your future.
Not your capacity to love.
They came for the false things:
The parts of you built around being chosen, approved of, or saved.

Some souls arrive carrying a match.
Not because they hate you.
Because the life waiting for you cannot be entered by the person you currently are.
So they ignite the collapse.

That's why losing them feels like dying.
A version of you is dying.
From inside the fire, you can't tell the difference between losing yourself and finding yourself.

Only later do you realize:
You're different.
Not broken. Just built different now.
Some deaths feel like endings until you realize they were introductions.
That was the whole point.
